Oh, what a pity, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to post the picture like that. Sorry! That is of course annoying, because I was hoping that someone might say something about what a 1.5-story building would even look like between the neighboring buildings :-( .

Hello,

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t joke around and has only recently tightened its criteria for using their services.

Try Open Street Map; it’s as free as can be and is maintained and continuously expanded on a voluntary basis.

Rhenish greetings

The street is in there, but unfortunately no photo view. Then I guess I have to drive there myself again and take photos.

But at least you are allowed to link to Google Maps (next to the printer button in the Maps view there is a link button, with which you can generate the appropriate link), this also works for a specific point in satellite view. Example Cologne Cathedral. I think this will also be allowed here in the forum. We also use this occasionally in our photo forum, as we sometimes have the problem with copied maps there and unfortunately have to delete them.

So I would say stylistically a gable roof fits better - but then the house would actually get a bit lost among the neighbors - so in terms of height then a townhouse after all... well, that probably doesn't help you much either.

Personally, I don't really like slanted roofs, even though I find houses with gable roofs very beautiful from the outside.

A modern house with bright colors would do these depressing color schemes of the neighboring houses good! These houses are so old that I wouldn’t adapt to them. Moreover, they seem to be somewhat older and are therefore candidates for energy-efficient renovation and facade beautification in the coming years. It makes no sense to orient oneself to them now.
