I wanted to gather some ideas on how you have solved your roller shutter control or whether you have one at all. We are building a city villa with a granny flat. For the granny flat, push buttons near the windows are enough for me; in the upper floor of the city villa, push buttons under the light switch at the door would actually be sufficient. In the basement, I would like it to be more centralized and with a timer. My dream was actually a display from elero or Becker on the wall, but the whole thing is very costly. It is important to me to have a function to lower all the roller shutters in the basement when leaving the house. I don't like a remote control because you probably constantly search for it, and it is also not visually appealing. I also don't want to control it via an app. I would also take switches at every window and a central timer, preferably wireless, where you can also lower all the roller shutters at once with a simple button press.

We have installed Somfy io radio motors everywhere and procured the accessories for control ourselves.
- Wall switches/remote controls
- the inexpensive central unit (Connexoon) for time control
- wind sensors

What I don't like about Somfy:
- no open protocol, there are certainly better options
- time control in the app: offset to sunrise/astro timer limited to +/- 1 hour

Advantages:
- zero planning effort
- switches can be positioned arbitrarily
- no significant additional costs for us compared to a simple wired solution without a central unit

I have not dealt further with scenarios such as leaving the house, but somehow it surely works with Somfy. It works via app, but then you have to take out the phone.. Possibly you need the "big" central unit if it should be fully automatic. You can also link one switch with multiple motors.

For me, it has become Homematic.

One wonders which motors will be used and what the electrician suggests as a solution.

We only took empty housings because the house builder wanted 200€ extra per piece, I will install the motors myself independently of the electrician. The whole thing is supposed to stay within budget, so I don't want to install an expensive Becker motor that also costs 200€ per piece. I have had quite good experiences with Jarolift and their motors cost between 40 and 50€.

I've already looked into it too, the switches remain? But can you also operate all the shutters at once without a phone?
