Cellar vs. large garage

Basement service with us for sports, laundry, building technology, and storage space. Everything that is a bit more delicate ends up there. Admittedly: rather not so tidy.

Our three garages (all unfortunately separate from each other) serve the car (integrated pit), the next one the motorcycle and scooter including a LOT of tools and tires, the third for the trailer, bicycles, and garden stuff.

I do a lot on our vehicles myself and have the corresponding portfolio of tools.

There are simply different usage possibilities for the two "rooms."
I would and could rather do without a basement than a garage.

In a desk job, my fitness benefits from the distances both between the apartment and the laundry room and between the car and the secondary garage.

I think from a climate perspective, things can be stored better in the basement than in the garage.

I believe you can safely leave it to the readers to decide what is amusing or not – the purpose of my posts so far was only about roughly three hundred out of eight thousand, the "rest" remains information – as well as that pumice (like also concrete) (prefabricated) garages are suitable as cellar equivalents. The building regulation notice is correct and was not disputed by me – by the way, all my garages are approved for all storage purposes, including parking motor vehicles.
