Hoihoi, I just wanted to quickly inform you that I now have the information from my builder regarding the spot and the costs.

65€ including material and installation. The "Kaiser 1281-30 Einbaugehäuse HaloX mit Tunnel 100mm" are to be installed. For the speakers "Kaiser 1282-00 Einbaugehäuse HaloX 180mm".

The price is very good. You can't complain about that. You can take it without any problems.

What do you mean by that? With those prices, I really don’t understand why anyone builds with a developer... Is the spot itself included as well? Then it would be somewhat okay.

How many should there be? For good lighting, in my opinion, that price is okay – especially since drilling, junction box, wiring, spot, and bulb are included. Ask which spots these are. Are the bulbs replaceable or is the manufacturer known to supply models for a long time? Doing it yourself is as tedious as messy – as reported above. Also, you still have to get the wiring there – depending on the type of ceiling, this is not an enjoyable task. An electrician will certainly not want to do this cheaper. There are very appealing lights on inexpensive 3-phase tracks (Global Trac or similar). With those, you can also switch and dim zones differently. That solves the wiring challenge and makes it flexible. But these are not spots. Furthermore, there are very appealing simple surface-mounted lights with spot character. Here the wiring challenge remains. Lighting on the edge can also be installed without loss of ceiling height with LED strips behind a molding at the edge of the room. In old buildings, especially in Italy, you see beautiful cables laid openly on porcelain holders. We solved the wiring in some places like that. Take a look at Gi Gambarelli or the company Raum Projekt for pictures. Of course, you can mix the solutions depending on the room. In the end, it’s not only a matter of budget but also of taste.

Hello

It should not be a problem to order the finished ceiling with the corresponding empty boxes and cable ducts. It certainly costs, but much less than the advertised price.

We already had costs of 100€ for a batch here. Some concrete plants charge very well for it. Partly also understandable, because precise positioning is required and the waste is not insignificant either. Whoever really wants to work a lot with spots should build cast-in-place ceilings or plan with a suspended ceiling.
