Can the building application be submitted this year?

Of course, it is more sensible to submit the application this year, but for that, you need a fully planned house. And if you are only starting now, it will become very, very tight. The GUs I am currently in final talks with all say that for about a month now, they have been clearly telling new customers that there will be no building permit this year.

So you are doing it without KfW funding? Best regards

As it looks, yes, without KfW funding. Currently, the statement is that it doesn’t even reach KfW 70, despite insulation that is somewhere between KFW 55 and KfW 40. I actually expected it to at least reach KfW 70, but the calculations are designed to mercilessly make electric heating systems (heat pumps) and systems (controlled residential ventilation) look good and to make other technologies look bad. This has little to do with physical laws.

The KfW funding is not that exciting either. With KfW 70 you get €50k as a low-interest loan. But the saved interest isn’t much. It’s not worth making a big effort for it.

Best regards,

Andreas

Respect!
You know that because you have calculated all construction projects?
Such a general statement is worthless,....

Can you substantiate this statement? The change of the primary energy factor, which benefits the heat pump, is indeed justified.

No, I have not calculated all construction projects. I never claimed to have done so.

But you recognize the (economic) pointlessness of a controlled residential ventilation system very quickly:

Our house with just under 180 sqm will come out at about 600 € gas consumption. (Currently, we have 130 sqm at about 400 € and that with worse insulation).

Even if the controlled residential ventilation saves you 1/3 of the heating costs (which is certainly an illusion and far too high), we are talking about 200 € heating cost savings. With well over 10k€ acquisition costs for a controlled residential ventilation system, you are somewhere in the range of the interest costs for financing the system.

Funny little incidental costs such as depreciation (after 20 years it is certainly gone, so 500 € per year), filter costs (something between 50 and 150 euros per year), maintenance, repairs, and electricity consumption (together probably another 100 euros per year) are not included at all.

You can play with the numbers as you like: you will never get an economic business case with this.

Such a controlled residential ventilation system costs somewhere between 500 and 1000 € per year, which is more than heating costs even occur in a well-insulated house!

In other words, whether you achieve a better KfW standard due to the installation of a controlled residential ventilation system and thus save 1000-2000 € in interest can be safely ignored!

That a controlled residential ventilation system can offer a certain comfort and is above all a great relief for people suffering from hay fever is another matter. Everyone must evaluate for themselves whether it is worth the money.

But installing a controlled residential ventilation system just to achieve a better KfW standard? No, it’s pointless.

Best regards,

Andreas
