It certainly depends on the season and the duration of the heating-free period. Assuming the worst: power outage for several days. You then have to ventilate, since controlled residential ventilation doesn't work either. If no sun shines, you would eventually approach the outside temperatures.

I'm not so sure about that. Our attic has never been below 15 degrees. Insulated, no heating, no controlled residential ventilation. Certainly not comfortable, but not dangerously cold.

And the heated living space is also right underneath...

We are currently planning a hybrid stove (pellets and wood) so that we can reduce the high oil consumption and "for emergencies".

The inhabitants heat themselves, tea lights too, a party with many people helps. I suppose if occupied, no frost gets in.
