Bungalow hallway width? How to design it so that it doesn't become a narrow corridor?

My parents have 135 cm at about 8 m length (in the stairwell area - about 2 m long - even about 1.5 m. That was enough for me to say that in our house there must be at least 1.5 m throughout...

My well-known tip: look at show houses, there are often also "smaller" hallways in the attic.

Nice kitchen [emoji4] A hallway is something different from a passage/work area in the kitchen unit. A hallway is a main path, the walls are higher than your eye level and it is also a transport route for you. Just measure, for example when you carry a moving box in front of your chest. Or even better: hold the child in the car seat in one hand and a shopping bag in the other - what do you think, how wide are you when walking comfortably? (With a child, you are actually in this situation twice every day.) The example does not apply to sleeping hallways, but you do have the utility room in the connection, if I remember correctly.

Usable would be 1.2m. Entire ferries have such corridors and passages. Only, the feeling of a tube is already there. It's just enough. No more.

Here is the floor plan.

It is still being optimized a bit.
The kitchen is now being handled by the kitchen planner to ensure it is large enough but does not become a bottleneck to the living area.

The whole house is built to the limit, so it must not be one centimeter larger.

I think the 1.2 hallway must stay because the rooms are not allowed to become any narrower.

I could live with the short piece too. Nothing is 100%.

Yes 6.38m

It's not that short, but it will probably come down to that. Then I'll look for tricks to counter the hose-like shape.
