Hello everyone,
a brief introduction first: I’m 43 and currently planning my first Ikea kitchen for my new apartment. Since it’s a bit tricky with non-Ikea appliances, I decided on a dishwasher from IKEA and the fridge will be a freestanding unit.
How is it with ovens from other manufacturers in Metod kitchens? Is there anything to be aware of or any special panels required?
And one more question right away: When I plan the kitchen in the kitchen planner (L-shaped), I have about 15 cm of space left at each of the two "ends". How is that usually handled? The countertop goes over it, but what about the front?
And last but not least: I don’t like tall cabinets and don’t need them either, because I get enough storage space with the base cabinets. Only when it comes to lighting I’m not quite sure yet what to do. Has anyone here had that problem and how did you solve it?
Thanks & best regards, Werner
