Were at the contractor for the second meeting today... It will probably come down to Ytong ThermUltra in 42.5. Rumor has it that KFW40 will come back, but with the conditions of the 55...

With KFW55, the price of brick/Ytong would be pretty much the same... With KFW40, you would have to take a filled brick that would be significantly more expensive than the Ytong.

Unfortunately, I have to bump the thread again... KFW40 is dead for us because without funding, the additional costs will not pay off in this lifetime...

The exterior walls are now 36.5 - according to the company, the price is the same.

I saw in the plan that some walls would be 11cm on the inside - is that too thin or "noisy" with aerated concrete?

Thanks

Sound insulation usually depends on the weight per m² of wall area. 11.5 cm are non-load-bearing interior walls, so they are found in every construction project. Personally, I would always have interior walls made of heavy material. For us, all interior walls are made of sand-lime brick with a bulk density of 1.6.

That is of course ideal....
Since our general contractor wants to build everything in brick, our non-load-bearing interior walls will also be 17.5 instead of 11.5 cm. That should help somewhat.

With a bungalow (that's how we built), you quickly end up with over 20 linear meters of interior walls. With 11.5 cm instead of 17.5 cm, that means over 1 m² more living space. With 17.5 cm interior walls (instead of 11.5 cm), additional costs are approx. 2500 EUR.

If I’m not seeing things badly, the only walls in 11.5 are

Bedroom - dressing room
Child 1 - Child 2
Kitchen - pantry

Maybe have the wall between the children's rooms executed as 17?

Only bricks or aerated concrete? It should be said that I’m helping with the shell construction for 6 weeks...

The other thing is if someday the house is to be demolished, aerated concrete is more expensive hazardous waste, right? Yes, I won’t live to see that...
