Building stair railing out of Ytong blocks - Does it hold?

We implemented it like in the first picture .... the staircase is concreted, the railing is Ytong glued onto the stairs .... holds ....

Do you then have a stairwell? Or is the Ytong simply glued at the landing (i.e. first flight - landing - second flight)?

Could you perhaps send me two or three photos of your execution? My construction supervisor has never done this before and thinks that cracks could develop over time at the glued joints. You would do me a big favor with that!

I have a narrow stairwell opening somewhat similar in shape to the one in the picture (but the stairs are covered with oak and so is the handrail).... unfortunately I can't send you a private message, that doesn't seem to be possible here and I don't want to upload original pictures ...

The Ytong is only 7cm, the stairs have been in place for almost 2 years ... nothing cracks.

He is right. Cracks can occur anywhere two different materials meet. This applies not only to a staircase but to the entire house. However, it doesn't have to happen. Some cracks remain so small that they go unnoticed, while others only appear after 5 years.
