Building in the early 50s

We, 53 and 51, with children out of the house, want to take on the adventure once again.

110sqm single-story on a slab, basement substitute room including a separate utility room.

Who has been in a similar situation and what were the reasons?

Good question.
I always thought that you should be done with the topic of building a house by the age of 40 at the latest.
Friends react partly with shaking their heads. The kids think it’s cool.

It will be something just for our needs. Kitchen with dining room 50sqm etc. The rest is absolutely standard. We’re not taking anything or anyone into consideration, it’s the "old people's" thing after all.
