Hi,
our general contractor and also the shell builder said back then that they actually only build [weisse Wanne]. It goes faster and if you want to properly seal a masonry basement, it wouldn't really be cheaper either.
At least I believe the point about speed, the exterior basement walls were definitely up faster than the masonry interior walls.
Additionally, with a masonry basement, you probably need drainage. And here, discharging drainage water into the sewer system is prohibited. So, in effect, a [weisse Wanne] is required by the back door.
