For me, it remains: You can build quite well for 1,500 euros/m2 if you approach it smartly and negotiate. Let it be 1,700 euros, because apparently prices are higher everywhere than in Lower Saxony / Eichsfeld, if I look at the relevant forum discussions here over months.

You are right, you can build for 1500 per sqm if it’s just about the house without the land. And without additional costs like earthworks or so. Our 110 sqm also costs 163k plus 5000 for painting and floors plus 5 for the kitchen, that makes 173. We’re close to the 1500,- But that only works if you are modest, forgo expensive extras like controlled residential ventilation or so, and live in an area where prices are still moderate. The more north and east, the better. I bet in the HGW area it’s even cheaper. Or in Eggesin. Only, those who build in Wiesbaden or Hamburg have to calculate differently. Karsten
