Phew, I'm currently lacking the "calmness" to see this positively - of course, it's a "luxury problem," but I don't like the proposed bathroom solution and I don't see any really good alternative either. How do I place the toilet and bidet somewhere else and not have the bathtub directly in front of the now very large window so that I can clean it without having to climb into the bathtub? Probably not at all

maybe it would have been the same for me if it had been like that from the beginning? No idea, now it is what it is. But thank you for the quick feedback, this is actually my first time in a forum and it wasn't that bad at all :)

Floor plans can be made much better by others than by me. But basically, you can probably swap the WC + bidet and the bathtub. Or also the washbasin with the bathtub. Or simply swap everything clockwise or counterclockwise. I think. Because where the objects are now, there is also a drain and a drinking water connection everywhere. At most, there is no hot water on the current WC + bidet wall, but I would assume that the supply line is located anyway in the short wall next to it and is routed in the floor to the other walls (objects).

I honestly also find the proposal from the BT better. Toilet and bidet (also right next to the window) on the slanted wall would not please me. When you sit on the toilet, it feels like you are driving into the wall... The slanted, opening shower niche in the new plan, on the other hand, really appeals to me.

I also find the current planning much better than the old one. Personally, I would find it uncomfortable to stand/sit in the shower and always have the door in view. Besides, the shower niche is bigger with the current planning, so you can fit a bench in there even better. I understand your frustration about the poor communication; I would try to get something out of it, but you certainly don't have to be upset about a "worse" bathroom. In your place, I would consider a shower toilet instead of a bidet. Especially for older people, I find that much more comfortable. You can try to get that as “compensation.” I think a reversal just because of that is unrealistic, at least one that is cost-neutral for you.

But you had that in your plan too! At least something similar with a huge platform behind the tub, which almost minimizes the sense of airiness that you want to achieve with a freestanding tub. And you didn’t draw in a freestanding tub either. Why do you want to put those parts somewhere else? They are perfect there, aren’t they? In your sketch they had the eyecatcher spot: the beautiful slanted wall, which should be used for something better in this bathroom than for the toilet/bidet?! It is better! You don’t like it because you are attached to your tinkering. You fell in love with it because you worked on it and looked at it countless times. I’m happy to try. But actually, I think you’re just being stubborn. That’s okay. But you should realize it and look at the plans very neutrally again. Keep in mind that the shower in your design offers no privacy at all. If you move in with a partner, that’s fine. But between mother and son, you should really pay more attention to something like that. Your mother can easily put a stool in that shower. I thought it was about the whole apartment. I’d be interested. P.S. What do you mean by floor-to-ceiling windows in the bathroom and what do you mean by a freestanding tub?
