These are some examples of how it can be done. They are sketches, the measurements do not have to be followed. However, not all of them are better. I think 2/3 of them are good; with a privacy screen intended to separate the toilet, I would only favor one.

Thank you for the drafts, I wouldn't have come up with any of the variants on my own. Of course I was attached to "my" variant, I had put work and time into it. Stubborn - maybe, above all disappointed and tired. The developer is really nice and probably told me too often that a lot is possible and I can have a say in many things - I am currently the only buyer, he can't sell the other four apartments. I can't present plans of the whole apartment right now because I don't really have any - my folder full of paper is worth little. That could also get funny if I sell later, but I’m not thinking about that yet.

A completely different question: Would it be better to do without the toilet in order to gain more space? Or put differently: is the bathroom too crowded? I have a guest toilet in the hallway, so I could do without the toilet in the bathroom. The toilet in the bathroom always has its pros and cons...

I think space is not the problem and personally, I would not want to do without a toilet. Especially with two people + possibly guests, it’s good to have it separated.
I personally find all the suggestions great, but I might add a small partition at the toilets for privacy. Other than that, I can only recommend printing out the furniture + floor plan + possibly walls to be added, cutting them out, and then simply placing and experimenting with them on the floor plan. That’s how we did it back then and it really helped us. That might also make it easier for your mother to deal with it.

Never, 2 toilets are very valuable even for 2 people. I also find your BT draft better than yours. But you have to like it. I would also like the first draft from ypg, but then I would nicely install the tub in the corner.

That's a good idea, will be my weekend activity :) Once the house is set up - should actually be done this week - I can play Tetris on site with moving boxes as "toilet, bath & co"
