Hello everyone,

we are currently planning our bathroom and are mentally going through several options. In general, it’s not just about the layout of the bathroom but also about the positioning of the windows associated with it. We are not quite sure to what extent the planned variants provide sufficient natural light in the bathroom. Therefore, we would appreciate your input!

The bathroom is on the upper floor (full floor) and has a size of 3.91m x 3.00m. The bottom side of the plan faces the street (small side street in a new development area, distance between house and street approx. 4 m), the left side of the plan faces the neighboring plot which is still being developed.

It should include a shower approx. 1.00m x 1.20m, a bathtub (180x100), a washbasin with mirror, a toilet, and a towel radiator.
Attached are the current variants. I look forward to your ideas/comments!

Does the entrance door to the room have to be squeezed into the corner like that?

Does the bathroom have no walls? The wall at the bottom right is crooked? Bathtub 1m wide seriously? My program does not offer that.

Please also think about the exterior view. If you design all the windows like this, it can really look terrible from the outside...

Thank you very much for the initial feedback. Here are the answers:
: There is not much leeway for a shift upwards in the plan due to the position of the stairs.
: Sorry, I quickly put this together in PowerPoint. The "slanted wall" at the bottom right is meant to represent the open door; I later replaced it with the typical quarter circle arch.
The 1m for the bathtub results from an 80cm tub and the pre-wall installation behind it.
: The windows of the rest of the house are not determined and positioned in this way. This only concerns the bathroom, as we do not like the standard bathroom layout. This means: the rest of the exterior view remains harmonious.

Then show how much shift would be possible. And why plan with a floor-to-ceiling window on the street side? One with a sill height would be better there.
