If you assume a (here arbitrarily chosen) price advantage of 25ct/kWh, you need 2000 cycles to achieve amortization. That will probably take a while.Yes, the typical balcony power plant batteries are generally designed and intended for outdoor use. IP 65 and an operating range of at least -10 to +50 degrees should be the minimum requirements for any battery (several even down to -20 degrees and IP 66 - all brands whether Growatt, Anker, Marstek, etc.)
