BAFA Funding - What Waiting Time Is Realistic?

Exactly like that. The project can be implemented from the time of application, the only risk then is that the funding application is rejected and you have to pay for the order entirely yourself.

We have just done that ourselves, applied for an air conditioner and then commissioned it immediately afterwards and have long since implemented it. Haven't heard anything from Bafa yet, but it was clear to us that we would implement the matter even without funding. If the funding application is then approved, we are simply happy about the subsequent funding. Of course, the amount is manageable even with a single-split air conditioner.

On the other hand, even with windows, you want to implement the project anyway and the funding is ultimately just a nice support. But even without it, you would normally carry out the project.

That's true, but some people include the funding in their calculations. Whether it's due to financing or the use of equity. It may well be that it no longer fits then. I applied for funding for [Fassadendämmung] yesterday. I'm curious when the grant notification will come. Since craftsmen currently have a long lead time, it should definitely work out.

I finally received the approval today for the Bafa BEM application from 13.08.2023.
My 7 Pana air conditioning units were installed in November 2022, that is after the application was submitted.

What worries me slightly now is that in the approval notice under Der Bewilligungszeitraum it says the approval period begins on 06.02.2023 and ends on 09.02.2025!
At the start of the measure: it states that before the application submission on 13.08.2023 the measure had not yet begun. The start of the measure is considered the first conclusion of a delivery or service contract attributable to the execution. Planning services may be provided before the application....

I spoke with the company and they said everything is okay as long as the project has not begun before the application!

But now I am totally unsure! This involves 7/8 thousand euros.

The start of the measure may be after the application is received. It is also clearly stated in the confirmation of receipt:

Then I don’t understand why they write approval period from 06.02.2023 until .....?

It really shouldn’t take much longer for your decision!

We applied for a few individual measures on 27.1.2023. So I don’t expect the money before autumn. It’s really crazy when you think about it, because by then we should have long paid all the craftsmen and therefore still need to take out the money from the bank.
