The problem is also that we are rated extremely high as a result. Is it possible to clarify this with the electricity supplier if one presents a written document from the heating technician? That is, confirming that the consumption was caused by a software error?

Just call your electricity supplier! Explain to them the (Heizstab, Problem gelöst) and suggest a lower advance payment. If they refuse, you could look for a new provider who will set the advance payment based on typical consumption (probably towards the higher end, but still better than "Heizstab").

Yes, you have to pay the electricity bill if you want to avoid trouble. The electricity supplier only deals with you and only you with them.

At the same time, you demand compensation from the GU. But the first step is to determine an amount that you will claim from the GU. You need to know what you want. Right?

What bothers me. Do you never check the electricity consumption?

Yes, we have documented everything... But our general contractor convinced us that this was completely normal in the first year. Yes, we were probably very naive.

I believe an air-to-water heat pump optimizer would be the new job of the future. Most old heating engineers simply do not have the experience and knowledge of how an air-to-water heat pump should be adjusted. Even the 2 technicians from [budexxx] contradicted us.

what a scam.... Basically, you did everything right (monitored consumption). That is always very, very important.

Is there documentation in written form (email, letters, faxes) where the builder says everything is fine, or was it all verbal?

I haven't even reached 16k electricity consumption after 3 years with night/day tariff combined.

But I agree with the previous speakers, you have to pay the bill first and then claim the money from the general contractor.

Was a maintenance contract also concluded and was the system serviced at least once? Or has only the connection been made so far?
