Hello We would like to build a bungalow on the attached floor plan. The kitchen opposite the floor plan should be the same size as the bedroom. For this, about 1 meter should be added to the left. Also the same to the front so that rooms 1 and 2 can maintain their size. The hallway area with the access stairs to the attic would also be 1 meter wider. The roof area would be designed as a gable roof with storage space and the option for a larger living area for our junior later on. I would actually like to swap the kitchen with rooms 1 and 2. But somehow it doesn't quite fit visually, and the paths to the living room are then very long. We really like our parents' sleeping area as it is; this way the junior gets relatively little sun from the front. Do you have any optimization tips? It can also be an L-shaped bungalow. But we haven't found anything as nice there. Living - dining is open on the first floor so that a lot of sun comes in there. The front there would be furnished with a lot of glass. Regards

Why? Do not misunderstand this question! I would also change many things on the floor plan, but that is individual. And individuality should be explained to the crowd/forum.

For example: as the kitchen is currently drawn, it could almost be narrower. If it is to be furnished differently, it must be larger. Whether it has to be as large as the bedroom is completely unimportant, because the kitchen and bedroom do not satisfy the same needs.

Therefore, explanations from you must be put on the forum table, which you can explain with the help of the above pinned post from me.

Basically, I do not find the design good. According to the drawing, you cannot reach the kitchen without a bruise; two! Children’s rooms must always be near the entrance area to the shower; the utility room is squeezed in and defines a corridor approach to the parents’ area. There are much better basic proposals on the web than this imposing? design?!

No, you don't want that at all. Because after the introductory sentence, it basically follows that everything is supposed to be different after all.

... reads quite strange in this context. So an L-shaped bungalow instead of a T-shaped bungalow is enough. Aha

In the north, you never see it ;-)

Seriously: if you compare the floor plan with the words, there isn't much left that is supposed to stay as is: basically, you only like the suite sleeping - dressing room - bathroom.

Then you should plan a different house around it.

If we are to assist you with this, Yvonne’s mantra must be heeded: the completed questionnaire must be provided. Preferably with details about the property.

In response to 11ant, I notice: how is the roof supposed to be constructed here if the ridge is supposed to be open?

Thank you for the good feedback. We will indeed have to fill out the questionnaire and define the needs more precisely.

We have not yet been to the architect but wanted to present the "perfect" design there in advance. However, our horizon seems to be somewhat limited. It is probably better to write down everything one would like and then construct a suitable building from that.

The roof construction looks like this ... But we have to do it all completely differently anyway ... With the rough draft we also wanted to save some costs with the architect, they always charge extra for every new drawing - right ... ;But you probably shouldn't save at the wrong end ..
