Well, and here is another opinion
I would place the garage rotated in the southwest corner and move the house further forward so that you have a yard in front, which is protected by the garage and the house wall/entrance side, and the garage blocks the view from the street to the west terrace.

Regardless of how you ultimately position the house and garage, I would definitely not place the front door on the south side of the house.

I would position a house entrance on such a generous plot either from the north (shady side) or from the east (weather-protected side).

Such a beautiful south orientation simply calls for a living/dining area with surrounding sunlight throughout the day.

Personally, I would place the house as far north as possible, also move the garage 5 - 6 meters to the north (which then provides 2 visitor parking spaces in front of the garages), and then place the house entrance on the east side.

Access to the house would then be via the driveway and a subsequent footpath to the door.

The visual privacy towards the street can also be easily achieved with a nice hedge.

Regards,

Dirk

There is no building envelope for the plots on our side of the private road. Thanks a lot, great suggestions. But we are also fans of a surrounding terrace corner on the south side (breakfast). Privacy screen then with hedge. I don’t yet know the exact prescribed distance of the garage to the street (south = bottom). We also have to create a 2m rain swale along the street. It may be interrupted by the driveway. The current favorite is in the attachment (parking space next to the garage). But should the garage and house be aligned on one east line? Then the whole thing might have to be moved further west, because next to a parked car you still need to get through with stuff / bike trailer / Bobby car / whatever. As said, maybe the garage moves 2m to the north. Is it important to be able to see from the house entrance to the gate (who’s coming there)? I think so, right? Regards

Also consider the long distances for the house connections: water, sewage, electricity, possibly gas?. Approximately 5 m of space (parking spaces) should remain in front of the house. The garage could certainly be built on the right property boundary, possibly attached to the house and possibly have direct access to the house, e.g. utility room.
