In the family this is easier to solve than with a craftsman: Either you just give him the cheapest mush from Aldi for the next few years or you deduct it from his pocket money during school time. Then you have replaced the sheep. Be glad it wasn't the craftsman, it would be nearly impossible to get your money back then; with your own little rascal it's much easier; so you got lucky!

cool only 1 scratch? We already have 3 of them :-) Okay, we have been living here for over 5 years. One is about 2cm long, semicircular like the bottom of a glass bottle including the grooves. Since our wood is beech, I assume it would be possible to repair it somehow by swelling the wood and sanding it down.

I have to say that I like it. It has a certain charm and I like the structure of the woods. You notice it at the moment, if a friend looks at it and you don't immediately nudge him, he will say "cool"

The photos already look very high in contrast. I wouldn’t be completely satisfied with that either. It is unlikely to be enough for a complaint – especially since you got a fairly inexpensive parquet. Overall, I think the floor turned out well.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t cheap, the parquet normally costs over €100/sqm. But thank you, we put on quite a bit of pressure, maybe too much, since even outsiders noticed it. Otherwise, the floor is a dream, rustic with knot holes and varied. I think we may have been somewhat influenced by others. The latest update was that you can cut out and replace the boards, but whether that will turn out well, we prefer to leave it as is. The boss wants to take another look at everything after it has been oiled.

Keep calm! I had the same. And it really does get more beautiful. It will be your floor and you will definitely get used to it! It is not a real defect since the darker beams are normal for wood.

I also chose parquet with knot holes. In the sample at the store, there were a few well-distributed, beautiful knot holes. At my home there are loads of knot holes, much more than in the sample. The sample always only shows the most beautiful section. You probably wouldn't have taken the floor if the sample had consisted of the transition from light to dark.

I think it's beautiful as it is with you. :) I am, however, also a big fan of wooden floors and always find them beautiful.
