Are marine exhibitions generally very expensive?

Hello.

Our plumber sent us to the bathroom exhibitor, and we put everything together there.
When I now look through the price list and search online, there are huge price differences.

The toilet with lid, for example, costs around 700 euros at the exhibitor, and about half of that on Amazon.

Now we naturally wonder why we shouldn’t just order it online, since the markup from the bathroom exhibitors seems a bit extreme to us – twice as much is just somehow too much?!?

What are your experiences with this?

Thank you.

Is the search function not working?
Sanitary question: why so expensive, the umpteenth. Case closed.

I’d say: just buy it on Amazon, but don’t expect your craftsman to install it for you, nor that any warranty will apply or that you get free return shipping.
If you can do everything yourself: Heimwerker.de or MyHammer make it possible. Later, after moving in, you’ll find current topics via the search like “shower moves,” “silicone joints cracked, who is liable,” or “why does my house smell so weird.”
Whether you saved money then, you can tell us in 5 years [emoji4]

Don’t hold it against me: there are plenty here who see it much like you and don’t give untrained craftsmen any credit, but demand everything [emoji6]

Let's be honest, installing a toilet and sink is not rocket science. People complain enough about kitchen prices, but the 3-tier model in [Sanitär] is okay. It's also [Pferz].

OT: And why are kitchen appliances more expensive from the kitchen salesperson than online? Strange that these "craftsmen" apparently have no right to charge double.
