Some just don’t get it here. At 40 degrees (42.6 record!!! Insane!) nothing works anymore... no controlled residential ventilation, no open windows... nothing at all. It remains: active air conditioning. Period! At least for the people who want clearly below 26..27..28 degrees.

Status: 11:19 p.m. Outside temperature 26.7 degrees. When I look out the window.. what do I see? Some with windows wide open letting the heat in Such heroes...

EDIT: or OR letting the heat out If it was 30 inside before

After a cozy train ride (there was water) I could also check the thermometer: 24.8 EG, 25.8 upstairs, which is still pleasant. Only the bedroom is warmer :/ Presence alone is not enough, even in winter, to heat the small room. From tomorrow, I will slightly cool via the underfloor heating, so the temperature will remain at about 24 degrees everywhere.

The controlled residential ventilation helps in the sense that we have fresh air during the day and the windows can remain closed. The air is then cooled well below 30 degrees via the heat exchanger. Without the controlled residential ventilation/ventilation running during the day, the house would probably be slightly cooler. At night, the heat exchanger is off if it is colder outside. But as mentioned, nighttime cooling via controlled residential ventilation does not help at all, all windows would have to be opened early in the morning, and even that would only help a little.

In this weather, the house gets about 0.5 degrees warmer each day. Getting the heat out again without air conditioning takes even longer.

I would like to understand how some manage to stay at 22 degrees without cooling. However, I do not doubt it.

It is 2:21 AM. We were just an hour in the 33-degree warm pool. Along with a Bacardi Sunrise, and the temperature in the bedroom is [gleich] doesn't matter.

The secret to controlled residential ventilation is a ground heat exchanger. It could quite significantly help in a Central European climate.

Our place is also slowly heating up. The worst is the kitchen extension. Flat roof, huge older windows. You might as well stay outside.

Well, I just got up. The bedroom is 1.5 degrees cooler than last night before going to bed.
Now at 7 o'clock it's already 24.3 degrees outside. I won't open a window anymore.
