Alexa and other home technology - pros and cons

My goodness. Are you sleeping poorly? Not enough oxygen in the morning? Did Alexa order the wrong medication again? Does no one except Alexa talk to you? I never said they are as good as Alexa and the others, whose speech recognition is undoubtedly top-notch. You just pay for that with various data collection urges, and there are indeed "serious" alternatives, no one said they were equivalent. I don't like Synohr either, especially since it's really ugly. realKNX has more potential. When exactly did you have that for yourself? But what am I even saying, you seem to have invented these devices. I am now pale with awe, because I have no idea, especially not about KNX.

It annoys me when people write such nonsense. You have already completely disqualified yourself with "serious alternatives." They are NOT alternatives... not even close. Not one bit! If you don't see it that way, you either don't know the systems or have never properly tested them! These are simply facts! Period!

PS: I (foolishly) bought 5x Syncohr right away (still in the construction phase) and only got around to testing it after months. Cost: about 4000 EUR. Returns were of course not possible. I then sold all of them again on the KNX forum. I got 200..300 EUR per piece. Do you notice something? Nobody wanted them! It simply doesn't work. Of the two I bought from one person, both had to be sent in because they were defective.

^---- that really says it all! In the foreseeable future, there will be no offline solution that can compete with cloud solutions like Alexa, Siri, Google. There's simply worlds between them... especially regarding the technical infrastructure.

I thought advertising was not allowed here You can make videos as much as you want.. anyone with some technical understanding knows that an offline solution currently CANNOT come close to cloud services! especially not from corporations like Google or Apple (virtually without limits on budget, technology, and knowHow).
