The trend is also moving towards a second outdoor living area in public, just as people used to have the bench for peeling potatoes next to the front door, now people want to enjoy the sunset on the unobstructed street and chat with neighbors.
Some people might like that, but we want our privacy in the garden and not to present ourselves in the neighbors’ front yards.
Is this now an argument against your .monotonous. city villa or for your .colorful. location on the property? You have 44 meters in length and 20 meters in width, right? With such a plot I wouldn’t think of a city villa, which usually comes very close to the left and right boundaries.
Honestly, I see it completely differently – for me, that’s a strong argument for our beautiful city villa ;) With color-contrasted windows and two bay windows with wooden cladding, there is really nothing monotonous about it – quite the opposite of many run-of-the-mill one-and-a-half-story single-family houses and bungalows that are taken directly from catalogues, which you often see in other places.
In the municipality, most plots are 20m wide and 40-50m deep, and everything is built there from one-and-a-half-story single-family houses, bungalows, city villas, semi-detached houses, etc. The city villa offers the most living space on a relatively small plot, perfect if you don’t have a huge plot but still want to enjoy a lot of the garden with your family.
