Track lighting system with halogen spotlights would be just right for you. A single lamp is useless. It is also dark in the shade even with 3000 lumens otherwise, and you will always have shadows when working.

Timelessly elegant. :D

I don’t understand why LEDs are categorically rejected. From my point of view, the lamps currently available are quite pleasant and usually very suitable.

In my kitchen, in addition to the three task lights (under the wall cabinets – of course with LED), there are two of these "hanging spots." With them, I can illuminate the ~20 sqm well and almost never have shadows in the working area. Together, they deliver nearly 4000 lm. I find it interesting that despite my endless search, I really only found these models from this manufacturer, which combine bar, spot, and pendant light.

Since the bulbs are replaceable, you can of course also operate them with energy-saving or (if still available) halogen bulbs with GU10 socket. At least back then, they were also offered directly from the factory with compact fluorescent tubes or halogen.

Best regards

Why on earth no LEDs? They are now available in any desired color temperature. As most have already written, I would not rely on just one lamp, but rather distribute several in the kitchen. We have several GU sockets and have installed LEDs there. Economical, bright, and the desired color temperature.

Maybe the heating doesn't work, and heat is supposed to be generated via the lights? Nobody knows ...

I only have LEDs in the house now. Whether it saves energy, I don't know. It would be nice if they at least last longer than incandescent bulbs since they are considerably more expensive. LEDs are available today in all light variants that do indeed come close to the light of the old incandescent bulb.

We now only have a few halogen or energy-saving lamps left, which have not yet given up the ghost. Everything that was/is newly purchased are LED lamps. The switch-on times of the energy-saving lamps were a bit annoying, but with the LEDs I no longer see any disadvantage compared to the incandescent bulb (except for the slightly higher price).
