3 years done - still haven't found a ceiling lamp for the kitchen!

I wouldn't make a science out of it either. Install cheap, simple, and functional lamps, and replace them with a nicer one if needed. The "waiting for beautiful lamps" often leads to Russian chandeliers still hanging in new buildings even after years.

I put together a selection of kitchen lamps online over the weekend. Now I want to force my husband to choose one.. :(

We were in the lighting department of a very large furniture store again over the weekend. And what can I say.... still nothing. So the construction lamp remains above the dining table.

We have been hanging this provisional one for 3 years now and are so thrilled that we continue to save money :)
