WDVS lasts between 25 and 35 years when done correctly. What I heard from executing companies and saw, also in conversations with the manufacturers, rather advises against it. Because only in very rare cases is a company found that does it correctly. Moreover, the cost-to-benefit ratio is not apparent. Consequential damage to the masonry, or later disposal and restoration costs, are especially unforeseeable in the distant future. In new construction, the entire house must be specially planned and executed for this purpose.

Today, home builders in my area pay up to 30,000 euros for facade renewal for buildings from 30 years ago.

I could write half a book here. I can only generally recommend insulating with natural insulation materials, which are increasingly coming onto the market, or building with a thicker wall. Wherever possible, no hazardous waste from oil, which still burns well, should be installed.

Oh, by the time the systems give up, they have long been eaten up by the woodpeckers, so don’t worry about that. And registered here for that? Respect.

ETICS is okay if it's not enough for something proper.

I’ll "spell out" External Thermal Insulation Composite System:

Heat)
in the imagination of insulation fanatics is something tangible, and has only one dimension: temperature. In reality, it is a phenomenon incorporated in a medium with a state of matter, and that has moisture in addition to temperature.

Insulation)
again builds on the naive image of tangible heat, which one can prevent from crossing a border with barbed wire and orders to shoot. And of course not to forget: “more is more”

Composite)
just sounds more academic than sticking on, but simply means: sticking together directly without a separating layer.

System)
What doesn’t belong together, but has nevertheless been glued together, one simply looks for a common parameter and adds their coefficients to a "totality." What was it called again, those who cancel out sums?
