I am curious. Where does the floor plan shape actually come from (so why exactly this one) - an inspiration?

No, "those who have visions should go to the doctor" (Helmut Schmidt). ;) . If it were inspiration, I would probably have become an architect... :p

The long answer gladly by PM, the short one in pictures: after decades in the automotive industry, I have always found it disappointing that house design has not undergone a similar evolution in the last 40 years as car design has... harsh, right angles, no open angles over 90++, no dynamics, only statics... “RitterSportDesign” – some call it "instead-of-villa" :)... would anyone still buy the first picture? As a car? Hardly? So why as a house...

The slanted window front in the dining room eliminates two right angles and replaces them with open angles that enable the flowing transition between dining room and living room...
The recessed parallel terrace on the first floor avoids the horrible feeling of sitting on the garden terrace cornered between two 6.5–9.5m high brick walls at right angles and reduces the perceived height to one story = 3.3m.

If I keep writing, that would be the long PM answer :D ...

The origin goes back 15 years... long story.

Whereas....the very first picture...almost modern again after 40 years, practically the barn among the tail lights :D maybe aspect ratio is important after all?

Are you sure that you are correct in transferring the design of car lights to house construction? I see no connection there. You shouldn't get ahead of yourself like that - you can't sugarcoat everything. Certainly, design elements can also be changed, renewed, or built into/added to architecture, but it should also fit.

Then it will just be a 1 BMW. When it came on the market in 2004, the design was also very streamlined

The taillights were meant as an example, a quick illustration for the entire design, for the change in the design language. Angled shapes possibly age faster, round ones less quickly. Every transfer has its possibilities and of course its limits. What I mean is that there have been and still are times and opportunities in architecture where more than just right angles exist... whether such a slanted wall is harmonious or not, or something else is better, is not decided by that.
