1483€ per kWp | CanadianSolar 11.48 kWp and SMA inverters

I received an offer today for 10 kWp.

Self-collection with all components. Roof hooks, rails, cables, plugs, modules, Huawei Sun 10 KTL M1, storage can be retrofitted here and of course the modules with 395 heat pump or 450 heat pump.

Price for everything for self-collection, immediately available for 6200 euros. Having it installed directly by the roofer with connection, the system costs 8000 euros. Where is the problem?

I haven't thought about this option yet. I need to talk to the [GU] to get the contact details of the roofer and ask him if he will do it, and then have our electrician connect it.

Moreover, the suitable Huawei storage units with 10 kWh are also currently available for under 6000 euros.

Even 6k€ is unfortunately still too expensive when it comes to payback period. With an electricity price of 40ct/kWh and a feed-in tariff of 7.5ct/kWh, you're looking at about 8 years. If you're lucky, it will still run for another 3-4 years to collect the "profit" for refinancing the new battery. All in all, the batteries need to become 50% cheaper or the electricity price has to double. Or a bit of both, so that you end up at around 5 years, which then gives you enough time to refinance the new battery.

The electricity price is already clearly above 50 cents. The electricity price cap only lasts until April 2024. So, a little more than a year. And only for 80 percent of the previous year.

I have a 10-year warranty on my storage system. And I am glad to have one. It paid off after 5 years. In most Teslas, these are already in for 10 years and you hear very little about battery damage. Although they are used much more extensively there than in the technology room of my single-family house. I see no problems regarding durability. Except perhaps with the overpriced Senec products.

Energy prices have been continuously falling since October 22, after the initial panic subsided. We are currently being offered 36 cents for 12 months or 24 months at Vattenfall.

I would be very interested in the calculation where the battery pays for itself even after five years.
