Our current hallway is 1.65 m wide and I didn’t want it any narrower. Especially not in my own house, where the entrance already looks like a cave that I enter.
However, in our current rental apartment, we have our wardrobe directed towards the guest WC, which provides space for jackets, coats, and shoes. In the actual hallway, we still have a small shoe rack for the shoes we currently need.
We also have experience with children and I have to say, even if you pay close attention to making sure the kids put away their shoes and jackets properly, it always, always, and always happens that the entrance area is a shoe battlefield
To your question: For me, 1.54 m would already be too narrow, but 10 cm less is out of the question! Would those 10 cm really give you more space in the kitchen?
If I understood you correctly, you are planning an island parallel to the right wall of the plan. I assume you also have a row on the left side of the kitchen, right?
If I then calculate:
left wall of the plan: 60 cm wide kitchen row
+ 90 cm space in between (minimum width!)
+ 1 m island
Then you would still have 75 cm left from your 3.25 m.
If you add 10 cm now, that would be 85 cm and still very tight.
I believe your expectations get stuck on the kitchen planning. Because of a kitchen that is 10 cm wider, I wouldn’t design the entrance area of the house (and thus the calling card) like a mouse hole.
