Ytong vs. KS - Construction manager insists on Ytong because of wrong order

If I understood correctly, he does want to switch from heavy to light because according to the structural analysis, aerated concrete is also supposed to be used on the ground floor? It’s about the walls on the upper floor being made of sand-lime brick, but on the construction site there is only aerated concrete now.

If you wanted it that way, then you should get it that way. A few bricks can hardly be hard to get in the current construction crisis, and he can use the aerated concrete for the next house.

I find the justification with the girls interesting though... are girls louder than boys? Especially the subwoofer vibrates through the floor throughout the whole story.

We installed Ks+WDVS and in direct comparison with friends who only used Ytong, you can clearly notice the difference. For us, sound only passes through doors/windows but the walls are "tight."

As already mentioned, the structural engineer did not choose this combination for nothing and I insist on what has been finalized. He can use the Ytong "hazardous waste" somewhere else. ;-)
