Y-Tong (aerated concrete) - quality building material? (sound insulation!)

Why wouldn't that make sense? Unless you are building in an extremely noisy location, the main issue with the exterior wall is thermal insulation and with the interior walls soundproofing. So everything is done correctly. Around here this is the usual construction method of the higher-quality GUs/GÜs (admittedly often still with brick cladding)

There are some who build like that. Here in the north, for example, I saw [Breyer & Seck, EdelSteinhaus] that have it stated in the construction service description.

I actually thought that this was not unproblematic due to the different settlement behavior. But I may be mistaken.

Our shell construction is just finished. On the outside we have Ytong and on the inside calcium silicate brick. The lower stone of the interior walls is also Ytong in each case. On the outer Ytong, insulation was then applied with connectors and this was subsequently faced with bricks. The construction is quite common here in the North and combines good insulation properties on the outside with sound insulation on the inside.

Noisy location is not an issue because of construction in the outer district. We won't have any problems with that then

Anyone who does not want to use hazardous waste should then consistently avoid using any paints and coatings, as well as sealants or plastics. Also no oil tanks, PVC pipes, electrical cables, or wood components treated with wood preservatives and paint, because all of these fall under hazardous waste. Even bricks with wallpaper still attached or empty cans of construction foam often fall into this category.

That's how it is and that's exactly how we built it. Of course, it cannot be completely avoided, but it can definitely be greatly reduced.
