I find the forum opinion helpful in that you can read the views of uninvolved people. I don’t blindly follow the majority but like to take it as an additional factor in the decision-making process. Many have more life experience, different perspectives, more solid knowledge... so why not?

If the roof were already covered and the error were only noticed afterward, I would consider a dismantling to be disproportionate. But the roof is not yet covered, and it is simply a wrong delivery. In that case, I would also insist on an exchange. For me, it would absolutely not be an added value if I did not like it, no matter how much more expensive it was.

If that is the case, it would be good! Unfortunately, I get a different impression and I have communicated this feeling. For the 2nd time, if I am not mistaken Rheinische Grüße

For the second time, however, we did not blindly follow the forum community but instead sat down with the craftsmen and found an amicable solution for everyone.

But take, for example, the pile of earth that was supposed to be stored from the thread last week... I would have simply said "yes" blindly without even thinking about what that could mean. Even after the thread, I probably would have said yes, but not quite so lightly.

Yes, the bricks remain on it. We found a compromise that both sides can live with. My wife took another close look at it during the day and in sunlight (not so easy, since we haven't had much sun here) and said she thinks it's okay and it would be a shame to have to dispose of everything now (also somewhat in the direction of sustainability). Now we are happy that the roof is almost finished being covered.
