Wrong device delivered - supplier is ignoring it by remaining silent

We first checked upon receipt of the goods to ensure nothing was damaged. Everything was fine and the device looked like what we had ordered. We could only install it later because the kitchen delivery was delayed. During the later installation, we noticed on the nameplate that we had received the wrong device... much lower performance and much cheaper... Then our complaint phase began.. :(

Hmm... actually I wanted to write that legal actions are always preceded by a formal letter.

Internet orders: of course, different rules apply than with direct contact with a craftsman.
What do you do then? Send it back? How did you pay? Can the return be processed? Paypal? Reverse direct debit?
I've never had that (luckily)

Which device is listed on the invoice? The one you thought you had purchased or the one that was delivered?

The desired device is listed on the invoice, meaning what we ordered.. and we also paid the expensive price :mad:

Go to a lawyer, explain the case to him, you do not have a warranty claim here, but simply received something different than ordered and paid for. It will cost you around 30,- if he makes it formal. That is usually enough, otherwise he will advise you on what to do next. It is not good to burden your head with things that professionals handle better and more successfully. Karsten

Before properly reporting the defect, I would not consult a lawyer.
