I looked at the URail rail and individual components at the hardware store. Everything looked good. Then I planned and bought extensive components for a larger rail-light system for our new kitchen. During a trial assembly before installation, I was surprised/very disappointed by the poor quality of the parts during assembly. Strong color deviations of the parts, imprecise fitting / warping of the parts do NOT look like quality, visible only during assembly. And wherever there is a connector or branch part, the "technical" parts (screws, springs, etc.) are visible for over 3 cm on each side. This CANNOT be covered by the cover strip. I did not want to install this poor optical quality and returned all Paulmann parts. By the way, Paulmann does not refund the price for cut URail rails. My conclusion: if you are looking for nice optical quality, you should not go for Paulmann URail.

Yes, everyone has their demands. No one said that the uRail by Paulmann are designer pieces. Besides, you deal with the products before buying...

Are they really that ugly?
Online they look good.
A KFB advised me on this. But he said the whole rail is electrified?
I can't imagine that at all. Is that true?

No, there are two solid wires lying in the rail, which are insulated from the housing.

He meant that you can move the lights freely along the rail and INSIDE the guide there IS "the electricity".
If the entire rail were electrified, there would be significantly fewer staff at the hardware store.

Ok probably he meant that. But he actually phrased it very strangely. To me, it sounded like a warning.
