let's see which POE standard the switch has and which the APs have. If it's the same, it fits.

That's exactly what I meant. In residential buildings, a service life of 5 years or more can easily be assumed.

Is there actually a suitable DSL router from unify? I can't find anything about it.

You can use your provider modem or a separate one. Switch to bridge mode (on Provider router / AllInOne) and place a USG behind it via LAN. The type of internet connection does not matter. Only the modem has to fit. A router does not have a modem.

At our place, the UniFi Security Gateway serves as the function of the Router modem, our FritzBox has been set to bridge mode by the provider and only passes through on Port 1.

Thank you for your assessment.

Both the access point and switch have the same POE standard. So that should be fine. According to the datasheet on the Devolo homepage, an access point has a power consumption of max. 15W.

Honestly, I didn’t pay attention to this criterion either.

You are, of course, absolutely right about the washing machine.

Anyway, now there are 2 Devolos at home ready to be installed. Luckily, they can be replaced relatively quickly.
