I would like to briefly hear your valued opinion on the topic of windows / full glass elements / sliding door elements.

Was the cost calculation done per sqm of window in your case, and if so, how much?

Does anyone have experience with Josko windows?

It was the same with us. However, the m² are very dependent on the construction. For example, in the case of a hillside location, there is probably less window area than in a detached house. Above all, I see the risk with m² that the price can change exorbitantly if you later deviate from the standard formats (as far as I know, max. 2.5m * 2.5m). The question is what the architect assumes as the m² price in his cost calculation. Does that match your requirements? White plastic windows, or rather wood or aluminum windows? Tilt-and-slide doors or balcony doors?

We had intensive contact with Josko. It was about the frameless panes for us. In general, they made a very good impression, but it was not suitable for our ideas. You can tell that Josko actually comes from the carpentry side. I mean that positively. The wood and the processing were (from the system we looked at) top. We were able to negotiate offers with a flat rate. Of course, the pure square meters play a role, but it is also about the frames, sizes, and size ratios... Personally, I would not have had any concerns about awarding the contract to Josko. As mentioned, it failed because of our special wishes (e.g. individual elements with 10-meter openings, protection class...).

I personally would have had no reservations about giving Josko the contract.

We have always played with open cards. Josko knew that other market participants were involved.
Josko would have been our second choice technically. Financially significantly more attractive.
This was also about a large order and a reference project.
