Just remember that fixed glazing is not so easy to clean from the outside :)

I don’t understand these floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floor anyway. Why do people do that? Why not make the windows wider if you want more light?

Wider windows mean less space for cabinets.

We had it like this in our old ERH:
I think it was a finished height of about 25cm. The lower window, fixed, doesn’t need a French balcony.
I personally don’t find a “half” French balcony with one or two additional rows of stones appealing in either view.
You (I) could clean the lower fixed window elements very well from the inside, but that was also because they weren’t that wide, and the windows allowed me to lean on them.

However, since we also experienced the absence of a parapet in the bedrooms, today I would only build bedrooms on the upper floor with a parapet.

But you can put sideboards under the windows for that ;). It probably evens out in the end. And who fills all the walls with cabinets?
