Isn't it the case everywhere that things purchased through a wholesaler are more expensive? I have personal experience with this. Whether it's sanitary, heating, electrical materials, or car spare parts. Even though I don't know the wholesale prices of everything (but of some), I can't imagine that the plumber, car workshop owner, etc., pockets the difference compared to prices from the open market. Wholesalers probably argue that they keep the items in stock and can deliver them within a day. But shipping commerce doesn't take much longer either. However, when I see, for example, that a glow plug in the car workshop costs 4 times as much as on the internet, or a toilet seat at the plumber costs 210€, while it's 90€ online, it's pretty strange. I've seen the wholesale prices for electrical switchgear material, and they were already more expensive than in the open market. On top of that, the installer's margin was added.
I also procured and installed my heating system myself with the help of the HTD. I laid the entire underfloor heating myself as well. However, a well-known heating engineer supported me with the rest of the installation. You simply don't have all the tools and materials yourself. And you also don't have all the small stuff that the heating engineer has in the car. With the experience I have now, I would do it completely myself next time. But unfortunately, you only gain experience afterwards. There might be heating engineers who would connect it for you. Or can't you just buy "underfloor heating with piping but without a heat pump"? Then the heating engineer wouldn't have to provide warranty services for the device either. Installers are also listed in the Aquarea Club.
