Thank you for the answers. So if I understand correctly, you can also buy and install the heating system on your own. It doesn't seem to be that difficult, and I have even heard of some cases where the heating engineer had to read the instruction manual first because he didn't know the brand. I need to do some research here. Additionally, I want to have the planning of the underfloor heating, etc., done by an energy consultant, so that the heating engineer will implement the planning, and I will connect the heating system myself. I then won't have any warranty, etc., but anyway, someone else is doing the planning.

Regarding the objections... at BMW I can bring my own oil and, for example, before the inspection, I can fill the windshield washer fluid myself and also have the windshield wipers replaced myself.

Some people just drive an expensive car but can't afford the expensive maintenance... Well.

What does that have to do with skill? If exactly the same oil costs €8 per liter bottle, then you can speculate what the dealer’s equity capital is for a barrel. If then €35 appears on the invoice, I already feel cheated.

And that is a bad practice that treats customers like fools. Whether it’s oil, heating, or sanitary installations. There is a service that should be paid fairly. In addition, there are expenses for planning, ordering goods, transport, handling, warranty. All fine, it’s not about the lowest price from a shady online shop. But that does not lead to price doubling as is repeatedly experienced exactly in these trades. In the past, it was said that both parties should have the feeling that they made a good deal. Somehow that has gone out of fashion. Depending on the market situation, one side plays the bidding marathon and tries to outplay the providers to the last euro, or the other side tries unemotionally to the breaking point because the competitor’s books are full. Eventually the market turns and then neither is happy anymore.

I also bought the heat pump online, will install and connect it myself, a friend who is a heating engineer will check it, commissioning will then be carried out by someone appointed by the manufacturer.

That is fine, but I simply cannot expect a craftsman to install my cheaply purchased stuff cheaply, if not even for free. They also need to make a living, and that is not possible just by charging for the labor. And it doesn't matter whether it's oil or heating.

Yes, but why not? If a brand workshop charges an hourly rate of €100 and passes on all material costs with a small handling fee, why shouldn't they be able to live from that? If that really were the case, then the hourly rate is simply too low. The total amount in the end is the same, one time I am satisfied, the other time I feel cheated.
