Who has experience with parquet flooring in the kitchen?

10mm parquet thickness or entire build-up? Engineered parquet starts at 10mm. Plus adhesive, so the total build-up is thicker.

As long as it’s reasonably hard wood, the dog doesn’t care about the parquet either (recently had oiled oak with a Bernese Mountain Dog – no problems).

The total build-up is 15cm

We are getting:
60mm Thermorapid Classic screed
20-2mm impact sound insulation board WLG 045
Cement-bound leveling fill for pipe gaps
60mm EPS100 thermal insulation boards

That leaves 10mm, right?

I would like a light oiled oak, but as a plank, not glued.

Why can't it be more than 15 cm? I don't understand... Who's stopping you from using 15mm parquet? For example, with 10mm, tiles are also out of the question. Do you then use thin carpet in the kitchen or wallpaper the floor?

To be honest, I don’t know either. That’s how it’s recorded in the technical meeting minutes, and I’m only just now really noticing it.

... and if the concrete ceiling KG/EG is not made to the exact millimeter, what happens? Choose what you like and forget the millimeter-precise planning. After all, it is a house and not high technology. Craftsmen don’t even know the specification in millimeters. However, the transitions from one covering to another should be discussed (e.g. 12mm tiles + adhesive adjacent to 3mm vinyl).

No. I have it too and it is easy to maintain (oiled and fully glued down).
