I don’t know yet - - but since the fittings are coming next week, I wanted to stop by Brillux on Monday to get some advice - and take a bucket with me to start painting the partially plastered wall.
Tell me, what are they saying. Has anyone else already had experience with one or the other? Can you really notice any difference? We need to talk to our painter to find out if he even works with silicate paints and what he would want for that.
: When you run your hand over the dry plaster, a little bit always crumbles off. Not much, but annoying. I assume that paint stabilizes the plaster more. Since we had another plaster layer applied over it, I can’t make a statement about that.
When I ran my hand over the plaster, nothing crumbled (at least I didn't notice anything) - but it is also possible that it has already been treated by the plasterers.
I have now taken a 5-liter bucket of silicate paint from Brillux. It all somehow sounded better than with normal dispersion paint... especially the diffusion openness and also the omission of primer.
I have now painted part of a wall and will take a look at it once it’s dry.
It is just more matte than you’re used to and you cannot simply wipe off stains with water. And tinting only in light colors, no dark ones – we will probably have to mix some.
