The parquet is glued .....

then I mean by "flowing screed" = anhydrite screed.....then calcium sulfate screed is something different again ?

According to the commonly available knowledge encyclopedia, it is probably synonymous. It also states that anhydrite screed is particularly suitable for underfloor heating...

Hi,

We have parquet and cement screed and didn’t need any leveling compound. The screed person has to put in a bit more effort. And expansion joints with the tiles? How large are your rooms?

Much more important is: Anhydrite screed is very sensitive to moisture. We had a massive water damage in the house due to a burst pipe. And luckily cement screed, you can get it dry again. With anhydrite screed, we would have had to tear out the screed throughout the entire upper floor. In other words, the house would have been completely uninhabitable for months.

After that experience, I would never take anything other than cement screed...

Best regards,

Andreas

- My living, dining, and kitchen area is about 65 sqm.

The screed guy just told me that with cement screed the floor needs to be treated if parquet is to be glued down.

A mix of cement and anhydrite screed, i.e. in the different rooms, would cost about €500 more overall.

It also says in the article from the knowledge page regarding anhydrite screed, because it is so absorbent. Although I didn't fully understand that part. Check under "Construction technology and processing instructions".

Compared to just cement screed?
