Asks what is so great about a wire basket with rubble, no matter the height. Just saw it again today... horrible

Dear Robson: 1) Everyone knows by now: You don't like those things, the gabions. But I didn't reply to you either. 2) Besides me, there are probably many other people who do like gabions with stones inside. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't be sold. 3) There may also be regional differences in taste. When I remember how it looks from the ICE in Hesse, I don't like the local architectural style overall.

I also like gabions, but I don’t find them very suitable as a front garden fence, rather as a privacy screen. We are also considering what kind of fence to put in the front garden; it must be at least 1.20m high and no dog’s snout should fit through. Maybe someone has a nice idea?
What is so ugly about the Hessian building style? Here people build quite "normally."

Best regards
Sabine

Sabine, the Hessian architectural style breaks the topic. Just so much, it is low in gabions....

Hello Sabine,
Why not a simple chain-link fence, which is then concealed by a hedge, so it can no longer be seen?

Best regards, Yvonne

That is not possible continuously in the front yard, as there will still be a large driveway gate and an entrance door.

Best regards
Sabine
