Which interior plaster should be chosen? Lime plaster/lime-cement? Experiences?

Probably something about FGD gypsum was read. FGD gypsum is produced during flue gas desulfurization, but the pollutants are so low that it can be safely used for building products. Because of this, no natural gypsum needs to be mined.

To my knowledge, almost every manufacturer of gypsum building products mainly uses FGD gypsum for plasters, gypsum boards, dry screed boards, ... It also comes from the fact that it is cheaper than natural gypsum. Recycled components also always help in Green Building certification.

When you talk about gypsum plaster, do you mean lime gypsum? Nobody makes pure gypsum plaster anymore, right?

I am asking myself the same question.

I keep reading as a headline "lime-cement plaster" vs. "lime-gypsum plaster." In the same articles, I then only read gypsum plaster. Does that mean lime-gypsum plaster = gypsum plaster?

We have Knauf Rotkalk everywhere in the house. It is so "breathable" that you can save yourself the need for a mechanical ventilation system ;)

Lime-gypsum plaster is included as standard in our case. If not, we would at least insist on a lime content.

Read the datasheets of [zum B. Knauf Maschinenputz]. Besides gypsum, there is also lime, calcium oxide in it. Gypsum and lime are chemically closely related; gypsum is a calcium-based sulfite, while lime is a calcium-based oxide.

yes! In a smoker's household, even the lime plaster sometimes coughs.
