We have all doors ceiling-high and I love it...

We are still looking for a shade for a wall in the bathroom - can you say something more specific about the petrol (?) on the right wall?

If you want to hang pictures on the wall, that might have negative effects besides an overly high door (ceiling height too), and also the Germans' favorite three-piece wall unit looks somewhat strange next to it. Low furniture is currently trendy anyway - combined that might be visually borderline. Tall cabinets fit better again... but could also give an office-like feel. So match it with your style, not with others' numbers.
