Thanks ... ceiling-high throughout the whole house, I believe at least.

Looks really great

At the beginning, I think some costs just overwhelmed us. Large glazing, venetian blinds. Those were all things we definitely wanted (and have). But then come other great ideas like floor-to-ceiling doors and so on...

From today’s perspective, annoying. It would still have been possible. But the decision would have had to be made very early on, and that was already over 3 years ago.
Well.

At least all the doors are flush-fitting.

We have now been living in the house for almost 2 years... and already have sooo many ideas again. I can see it. House 4 will probably still come someday ops:

I have gained initial experience with two condominiums (each purchased in shell condition); now we are building for the first time from scratch. There is so much to plan and many things to think about right from the start... And some things have been crossed off the list for us as well.

We have both built before (with other partners) and also both purchased apartments in shell construction before (also before our time together). The price comparisons from a few years ago surprised us quite a bit at the start of construction with this "current" house (to put it mildly). Experience is not always helpful, I have the feeling. I would have preferred if one had been confronted with the price development as an inexperienced person and not with the constant comparison (how much does it cost now? We only paid xxx EUR for that x years ago...) But somewhat off-topic... What are the considerations on the subject, TE?

EG/OG- 270/265. 211cm doors, I wouldn’t want smaller in a new building.

I am 1.97m tall. For me, doors under 2.11m are bodily injury.

We will have a ceiling height of 2.65m in the sleeping area. I want to make doors there 2.22m. On the ground floor, the ceiling height is 2.75m and here I tend to go for even bigger doors at 2.34m.

At the moment, I really like the modulWERK 1.0 flush doors.

Floor-to-ceiling is the dream. Which doors (brand and model) do you have there? Roughly how expensive were the doors and how high are your ceilings?
