Good evening,

I would be interested to know how big your house is and what your shower and bathing habits are like.

You could have done without solar and built according to the 15% rule.

These abbreviated representations do more harm to clarifying the issue than they help! How big is the acquaintances' house, which air-to-water heat pump is installed, and do the mentioned €130 exclusively concern the air-to-water heat pump or does that also include household electricity?

I always have to smile when I read such statements. Can you be sure that you are actually getting "clean" electricity?

Rhenish regards

The year of construction and the temperature in the rooms would also be interesting.

If I’m shivering around at 18 degrees in winter, I’ll probably also reach 500/year.

Well, not really. As I said, it is a river valley that rises steeply on both sides. In winter, the sun quickly disappears behind the slope. To clarify, I am attaching a few pictures again. Where the slope rises is south; in the third picture you can see the trees at the end of the slope. In the second and last picture, you can see the other side of the river valley, where the sun partly shines as well.
The roof would then be oriented towards the south.

Oh, by the way, something I should perhaps add regarding the heating decision: Since we are building near Koblenz, we will use pumice stones. This ensures very good insulation.

Since we are currently dealing with the topic: especially with heat pumps (regardless of air or brine) you have to pay close attention to the sizing. Do a room-by-room heating load calculation and design your underfloor heating accordingly - or make sure the provider does this or an external HVAC engineer. Don’t let yourself be brushed off with "we install 15 cm everywhere."
A list with COPs of current heat pumps is available at BAFA - also many other information on the subject.

Thank you for the photos for the explanation

Funny: do they all have the same houses there? Or is the roof pitch regulated?
